Going back to back

Riverwood HS, Atlanta GA -- The Ninjas couldn't help but "ohhh and ahhh" over the back to back home run seminar Wade Beacham and JP Lowen put on Sunday. After oohing and ahhing, not one Ninja ran to home plate to celebrate these magnificent home runs. Playing one of the oldest jokes in baseball, the team acted as if nothing had happened until each player rounded the bases and entered the dugout.

The Ninjas wanted to send a message that the Ninjas are a force to be reckoned with. Punishing the Mudcats with relentless force is exactly what the Ninjas did. Going up 8-1 heading into the fourth, Wade Beacham belted a solo home run, followed by JP Lowen smashing a 380 foot home run into the parking lot.

Not only are the Ninjas known in the league for their bats, their pitching is considered the best in the league. Starting the game, Erin Lacy went 4 2/3 innings surrendering two runs, one of which was unearned. Adam Beacham pitched three innings of relief, giving up only one run. Coming on to close the game, Angus Nicholson pitched a scoreless ninth inning and the Ninjas winning 13-3.

GAME NOTES --

The number three and four hitters, Wade Beacham and JP Lowen were a combined 8-8 with three home runs.
The Ninjas in regular season play are 22-1 since the beginning of last season.
The Ninjas currently have a team batting average of .380 and a seven game winning streak.

Coming up.....
The Ninjas face the 6-1 Atlanta Astros Sunday June 28 at 4pm at Riverwood H.S. The Astros have recently won the MSBL World Series in Las Vegas, NV. This should be a match up for the ages.
